What is REACH ?

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) entered into force on 1st June 2007. It aims at protecting human being and improving the substance knowledge along the supply chain. All the European companies that manufacture or import more than one ton per year of a substance will have to register it via the newly created European Chemical Agency. The registration dossier contains physical, chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological properties as well as a human health and environmental risk assessment for all the applications of the substance down the supply chain. Pre-registration ended on 1st December 2008, it allows companies to continue production or importation of pre-registered substances till relevant registration deadline as described in the REACH regulation.

REACH at NYCO S.A.

NYCO S.A. is committed to taking any necessary action to ensure compliance with the new regulation, through participation in various professional groups and consortia and working in cooperation with suppliers and customers.

We pre-registered all the substances we manufacture and that require registration. All our suppliers have been contacted to insure pre-registration of the substances contained in the raw materials we use. We do not provide any pre-registration number since this is not requested by the REACH regulation.

The next step is the first deadline for registration (1st December 2010)
