NYCO is a worldwide recognised specialist of aviation lubricants and synthetic esters that has developed its extensive know-how to provide highly valuable solutions in various areas, from military lubricants to specialty industrial applications.

 

French independent and privately owned company, we are the sole European producer of such synthetic esters base stocks and lubricants.

 

We develop, manufacture and sale products that are tailor-made to meet customers’ requirement and highly demanding specifications.

 

Our international networks and highest quality standards commitment have enabled us to extend our footprint over 90 countries across the world, with more than 80% of our sales.

A little bit of history :

 

Created in 1929, NYCO initially specialised in fat derivatives for the pharmaceutical industry and PVC compounds.

 

In 1957 NYCO took an interest in ester-based aviation lubricants and subsequently received its first approval for a turbine engine oil by the French Ministry of Defence. Later, NYCO extended its range of lubricants to comply with British and American specifications.

 

In the early seventies, NYCO started developing lubricants for Soviet equipments; therefore strengthening its presence on the Eastern European markets. In the same period NYCO expanded its activities to synthetic esters and fully formulated lubricants for automotive and industrial applications.

 

Some key developments :

 

·          1959 : Turbonycoil 13B for Mirage aircraft

·          1970 : Development of synthetics esters

·          1985 : Turbonycoil 600 for military engines and civil aviation

·          1987 : Lubricants for refrigerant compressors

·          1990 : Biodegradable fluids

·          1995 : Turbonycoil 400 for USAF F-22 raptor and Dielectric fluids for industry

·          1997 : New plant at Tournai

·          2006 : New additive technology for high temperature requirements

·          2008 : New R&D Center

·          2008 : Nycolube 210 (2-stroke oil for outboard engine) is Ecolabel certified
